About the Project:
I created an Infographic video on a topic close to my heart: Type 1 Diabetes. Although I was familiar with the condition due to friends and family, I learned a lot through researching and compiled that knowledge into a short, easily digestible video. I developed a script and hired a voice actor to narrate. After reviewing informational media from other organizations, I created a piece that plays a role in the larger educational ecosystem.
Accomplishments:
Visual Design: I maintained consistent colors, images, and fonts throughout the video to help viewers absorb the information through and easy to follow visual tale.
Brand Alignment: I did research on both the American Diabetes Association and World Diabetes Foundation to be sure the fonts and colors I chose represented them and their brand goals. I gathered images that are used on posters and advertising for their sites and social media.
Point of Pride: I felt that I came a long way from first learning After Effects and I was very happy with the transitions and consistency of images throughout the piece. I also learned about trim paths and masking to create some of the effects in the video.
MY STORYBOARD

My process started with looking through the ADA (American Diabetes Association) site and WDF (World Diabetes Foundation). I wanted to gather the colors and fonts they used to best match their site and create a video that could be placed right into their branding. Some things did not make it in because I found better use of images and transitions with my script. Overall, I was very thrilled working on this video and it allowed me to realize how far I have come in Motion Graphics.
