About the Project:
As a New Media student, I did not have many opportunities in class to create print specific media. I took this opportunity to extend the infographic video I previously created about Type 1 Diabetes and create a larger educational campaign for the American Diabetes Association. I developed a deeper understanding of Adobe Illustrator and print based design requirements.
Accomplishments:
Visual Design: Chose typography that aligned with the client media and industry standards utilizing current trends in medical print. I created two iterations of the poster: one that extended the design and promoted the infographic video (left) and one that emphasized key statistics and grabs the viewers attention (right).
Brand Alignment: Ensured the posters aligned with the American Diabetes Association and World Diabetes Foundation regarding terminology, colors, fonts, and imagery.
Point of Pride: Created these posters from no previous guidelines, developing the layout and typography to extend an educational campaign for a cause I care deeply about.
